Campaner Olive Oil: oil, art and solidarity at Son Mesquidassa

Oli Campaner brings together more than 900 people at Son Mesquidassa

Last Saturday, 4 July, Son Mesquidassa hosted the charity dinner in support of the Campaner Foundation, an event that brought together more than 900 people around a very specific cause: supporting the foundation’s work against noma, a disease linked to extreme poverty that particularly affects children in Africa.

During the evening, Oli Campaner was officially presented: a drop of solidarity and the new charity olive oil created by Son Mesquidassa to support the humanitarian projects of the Campaner Foundation. Each bottle turns a local product into a simple way to help. Olive oil from Mallorca, yes. But also commitment, support and solidarity.

The Campaner Foundation has been working for decades to combat noma and support people living in situations of extreme vulnerability in countries such as Niger and Senegal. Its work, started by Pep Campaner and continued today under the presidency of Miquel Ensenyat, remains a leading example of commitment from Mallorca to Africa.

The evening at Son Mesquidassa was also a reminder that solidarity does not require impossible grand gestures. Sometimes it begins simply by being there, collaborating, sitting down to share a table or buying a bottle of Mallorcan olive oil.

music by Xeremiers d’Algaida and Arpellots Band

The evening featured an exhibition of sculptures by Joan Costa, music by Xeremiers d’Algaida and Arpellots Band, and a special appearance by Tomeu Penya, who generously joined the cause. There were also raffles, partners, volunteers and many people who made possible an evening that was about much more than dinner.

Son Mesquidassa was filled with life, people and a desire to contribute

Oli Campaner is now available from the Son Mesquidassa shop. Every purchase helps support the projects of the Campaner Foundation and offers the chance to take home a Mallorcan olive oil with a story behind it.
